| My fondness of working with wood goes back to my early days, particularly as an apprentice coachbuilder and I have worked with wood, on and off, ever since. When my young family arrived I made a few wooden toys. They seemed very popular so I made more, increasing the range and started selling at craft fairs where my boys enjoyed demonstrating them. Some of the toys are based on traditional designs, dating back many centuries, while others are caricatures of modern transport. All of my toys are carefully constructed to comply with BS 5665 (Safety of toys) regulations.
